Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Turban Review

The Aquis hair turbans and towels are made of Aquitex, a blend of 80% polyester and 20% nylon, inspired by the moisture-wicking ability of active wear. The Aquitex material is woven into channels that move water away from the hair quickly and evenly. Aquis says that wet hair is weak hair that is prone to breakage, tangles, frizz and dullness, and designed these towels claiming that, compared to cotton towels, the hair dries 50% faster, frizz and breakage are reduced, the hair has more body and hair color stays vibrant longer. These towels and turbans dry hair to 70-80% and then the hair is evenly damp and better able to withstand styling and heat.

The Lisse turban is for fine and straight, curly, wavy or coiled hair. The waffle design is for thick hair.

Directions: Place the button part of turban at the nape of the neck and twist as needed for desired fit. Flip turban back and fasten the loop around the button for secured fit. Leave turban on for a few minutes; generally, the turban should be removed when the hair feels damp.

I have fine, wavy, frizzy hair. I have been using this towel for a few weeks now, previously having used a cotton bath towel.

Above, the left photo was wrapped in a cotton towel for 15 minutes and then air dried, and on the right I used the Aquis turban, leaving it on for 10 to 15 minutes and air drying. I was surprised the hair turban made such a difference; my hair is less frizzy, has more body and generally looks better. My hair dried faster as well.

It takes a few uses to find the right length of time to leave the turban on; this will differ for everyone depending on hair condition, type, texture, etc.

The Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Turban is a good purchase and I will continue using it.

Thanks for reading.
